Neighbours
I took this picture last week while waiting for a ride. I have noticed since we moved that our new neighbours are a little, shall we say, interesting.
Story of this picture: The guy with the maroon sweatshirt was walking on my side of the street when the tank top lady yelled at him "hey (whatever his name was) your wife was in a major car accident, I just got a text." His reply was "huh?" He crossed the street in his sandal and sock combo and asked to see her phone (he obviously doesn't own one) and tried to remember phone numbers of people to call so he could validate the story. He wasn't having much luck. At this point the lady that told him the news pulled a tall boy out of her plastic bag and started having her four o'clock beer (for sure not her first). I'm shocked she had time to drink between all her loud talking and excessive spitting...gross.
The other two people were rather uninteresting, next to these two, the black guy just had the normal plastic bags filled with empty cans. Another man showed up on a bike and offered it to the maroon sweatshirt guy so he could get to the bottom of his investigation but he turned it down saying "I like to walk" and he was on his way.

Business with pleasure
I was driving down the street and saw this guy. He is flawlessly mixing business with pleasure. He has his nicest shirt and slacks on, all while cruising to work on a dirtbike.
It may not be a dirtbike (i'm no expert) but it does look awesome none the less.
It could have only been better if he was wearing white socks.

disclaimer: if you don't understand sarcasm this post will make no sense to you.

blowing it
sorry for the lack of post lately. I have been sick. I don't know why that would count as a good reason for lack of blogging due to the fact that when i'm sick, i spend more time on the computer. Whatever the case for the lack of blogging the truth remains, I am sick with some lame cold or something. My through feels like there is a rock stuck in it and i cough like crazy.
speaking of sick, this song is way sick...actually the whole album is killer.

Who wants to buy a house?
The news is in, my parents are moving from Winnipeg to Ottawa.
I will never return to the house where I grew up from age 7 to 19. I am open to you guys starting a charity to raise money and buy the house. I love Winnipeg, the family and friends, the cobblestone skatespots, the winters that remind me how awesome summer is, the traffic, the slow speed limits, SuperStore, and a slew of other things. I am avoiding making a list because that could get real sentimental....
The memories I have in that house are awesome, thank you mom for making dinner, nearly, every night. Thank you dad for paying the electricity bills, Shandi for moving out of the "big" room so i could have it, Kaitlyn for being the youngest so we never had to share a car.
And to my friends, who knew they were always welcome. Wherever I live that offer still stands.

This was my room...before it became my dads office/warner brothers museum.

Maybe next time.
Remember when i was really excited about the Devendra Banhart concert?... I think I blogged about it 3 times. Well, we drove 6 hours from Vegas (pictures tomorrow, maybe) and get back to Salt Lake just in time to make it to the venue and find that the show has been cancled. I guess he broke his leg, here is his little message.
"hey there friends. so your old pal Devendra just broke some bone in his leg skateboarding before the show yesterday. i'm ok thanks but we had to cancel the last few shows of the tour. I am SOOOOOOOOOO sorry to all of you who were planning on seeing me and the Grogs and we will really miss playing for you. i wanted to play the shows anyway like in a bed or something but the dr's didn't think that was a great idea. THANK YOU forever for your support, it means the world to us and again, SORRY to all of you.
love,
devendra and the grogs"
Oh well, maybe next time.

bad news thursday
Looks like this next season of the Hills (season 6, premier on April 29th) will be the last. This is the worst news since hearing that LC was leaving.

madonna
Its been getting harder and harder for me to still love Madonna lately. I have seen her new D&G advertisement and that was wonderful, then this morning i read this(copied below) from nymag.com....gross

Sources tell WWD that Madonna is close to signing a deal to launch a clothing line for Macy's. The line will be done with licensees of Iconix, which owns Candie’s, Bongo, Rampage, London Fog, Rocawear, Danskin and Badgley Mischka. The great minds at Iconix are also responsible for Candie's brilliant marketing campaign, starring Britney Spears.
Whereas the Olsens launch collections with names seemingly unrelated to them ("Elizabeth and James," "Olsenboye"), Madonna's collections would be unmistakably hers. The apparel line will reportedly be called Material Girl, while she may get a bit saucier with Truth or Dare for the lingerie line, eschewing the perhaps more fitting Bedtime Story. No word on whether shoes and accessories would get clever names of their own.
