I blogged the trailer for this documentary before, it came out a couple weeks ago. I had no idea that it was intended to be released online. I think thats a great idea. So many videos online have a five minute max, or make you check weekly for part two or whatever. Well done guys, well done.

This movie is a must see. As you all know I love myself a well done documentary. This one looks great, interviews with the right people, good music, well filmed. Should be good. I did find it interesting that when it did the scene where it flipped from various websites, all but one of those are websites I check daily.

Melancholy is a topic I’m interested in more than something I deeply feel. There is indeed some form of melancholy in me, but I’m not the kind of girl who spends her afternoon looking out the window with a sad gaze.

summer in salt lake

It's no secret that I love being in Salt Lake City during the summer. My wife and I live right downtown and there are soo many things to keep us busy nearly every day. Free movies in on the capital, concerts on thurdays in the park, Bachelorette parties at our apartment, food markets, tennis, pool parties and bike rides, etc. As you can see, the main thing is that it's mainly free.

It's awesome, not much more to say about it.

I am really excited for this movie. Not much else I can say about. The use of a "loFi" Strokes b side in the trailer makes it even better.

This is a very interesting documentary. It's playing this wednesday in salt lake city as part of their fashion week activities. I will be unable to attend so I thought I could find it online, and turns out I could. Enjoy

City Island

My wife loves movies and is a member of this ting that lets you know about all the promotional screenings in the city. Monday night she noticed that there is a screening for this movie called City Island. I had never heard of it but it had Andy Garcia who is awesome...well i think he is. At any rate, we check the trailer and it looks funny and better yet, it's free. We invite out pals Colt and Abi. Usually with these promotional things, they are over booked and you gotta be there early. This time there was barely anyone in the theater. Long story short, the movie was very funny. I was laughing the entire time. I may say that a lot but this time it was true.

good looking movies

I think this happens every year around this time, but maybe not. There are a lot of good movies coming out right nowish. My wife got us some screener tickets for How to train your dragon at the Imax 3-D NBD (that's cool kids talk for "no big deal" fyi) That movie was cool, mainly because it was the first movie i have seen in 3-d, I won't see Avatar, so don't ask. I did not mean to talk about any of those two movies...ooops. I was meaning to talk about these two.

This one is called Breaking Upwards and it seems to be about a couple that is in each others lives and "needs" to branch out.

This one is called Tiny Furniture, and it's something we can all relate too, waking up and feeling useless. Lena Dunham is a good film maker.

The September Issue... out today.

My wife and I watched this movie the other day, it is so good. It's a hybrid of a bunch of stuff I really like. It's part Devil Wears Prada, part reality Tv, huge part fashion, all rolled up nicely into a documentary. The DVD has 90 minutes of deleted scenes...that's like another full movie... (how billy mays was that last part?..yikes)
