Canada

I am not the patriotic type. The fact that I am a Canadian living the states doesn't bother me, i don't feel like i have "lost my identity" or "abandoned my home" or the slew of other things I have heard over the last couple years. I would love to live in Canada just like anywhere else. Anyway, my dad sent me a funny e-mail yesterday about facts of Canadian history.
Here are just a couple.

-Baseball is Canadian - First game June 4, 1838 - Ingersoll , ON
-Basketball is Canadian
-Canada has the largest French population that never surrendered to Germany
-Our civil war was fought in a bar and lasted a little over an hour.
-We invented ski-doos, jet-skis, Velcro, zippers, insulin, penicillin, zambonis and the telephone.
-A Canadian invented Superman.

Green card

After literally walking through a maze such as the one posted above, stacks and stacks of paper work and a few long lines. It is all over and I got my card in the mail over the weekend. It does have a little green on it so it wasn't too disappointing. Assuming it was all over, i had to sit in another room with a slew of not too clean individuals waiting, in a small room, to get a social security card. I guess i have to take back my previous statement of it being all over. Within 8-14 days I will get my other card and it will all be over. Exciting for me, not too much for all 3 of you that read this blog.

Not even this guy can get me out now
